The first thing many people ask me is "What the heck is a Burleigh Day?" In college, I spent four months studying on the Gold Coast of Australia. Nearby was a coastal town called Burleigh Heads. Friends and I spent one particular day there that turned out to be exceptionally fun and a day we remember with a smile. We began to refer to that day, and any day like it, as a "Burleigh Day." It's personal sentiment and my love for Oz made it the perfect name for my business.

I am a graduate of the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota); my passion for graphic design was sparked my freshman year in college working as a designer for our campus newspaper. For three years I was the chief designer, a position that motivated me to take some design classes. Meanwhile, I majored in public relations, which satisfied my writer's creativity. Post-college, I worked as a graphic designer/marketing coordinator for an architecture firm in St. Paul. Not quite "happy," I searched high and low for the "perfect" job - something that combined all my loves - writing, design, PR, client interaction and a flexible schedule. Eventually I figured out that my dream job was something I could create for myself .... and now here I am!

Burleigh Day Design offers a wide-range of services to businesses and individuals. Business solutions include identity/branding, web design, and more. Personal solutions include wedding and other event invitations, cards, announcements and much more. One of my favorite aspects of this business is the relationships I build with my clients and the collaborative nature of the design process. Ultimately, you will love the product that we come up with together. Furthermore, I will always do my best to work within your budget. My goal is not to overcharge; it is to make a living doing the things I love, and in the process, help others be successful!
